Program Highlight: School Food Centers

As the new school year is underway, Lowcountry Food Bank is ready to serve children and their families with our multiple child hunger programs. These include our School Food Center programs: BackPack Buddies, School Pantry boxes, and our School Markets, as well as our after-school meal program, Kids Café. Each program meets a specific food need and is tailored to meet students and their families where they are already going – at their school or after-school site. While BackPack Buddies and Kids Café are targeted only to children, our School Pantry boxes and School Markets are designed to feed the whole family.

By The Numbers

With help from our staff, board, donors, volunteers and partner agencies, we’re able to make a lasting impact on the lives of food-insecure children, adults, veterans and seniors across the 10 coastal counties of South Carolina.

Our impact is demonstrated by our results and the lives we touch. We invite you to learn more about our work, our team and how we accomplish our mission.
