LCFB’s Street Team volunteers help connect communities across coastal South Carolina with resources, support, and awareness about food insecurity.
The Lowcountry Food Bank Street Team is a dedicated group of volunteers who help bring LCFB’s mission into communities across the 10 coastal South Carolina counties we serve. By representing LCFB at public and private events, the Street Team raises awareness about food insecurity and connects neighbors with helpful information.
Whether attending Dorchester Paws Pet Community Day, the Summerville YMCA’s Healthy Kids Day, or other local events, Street Team volunteers create meaningful opportunities for community engagement. They share information about LCFB’s programs and impact, answer questions, and distribute resources such as informational brochures, SNAP resources, Case for Support materials, and branded swag.
As a lean organization, LCFB depends on the Street Team to extend our reach and strengthen community connections. Their efforts help us engage more neighbors seeking food assistance while also building relationships with new donors, volunteers, partners, and supporters throughout the Lowcountry.
